Explore our Concrete Solutions

Concrete Repair

Repair and renovation of concrete buildings and infrastructure is an important process – it helps us to provide a sustainable approach to building – prolonging the life of a structure and preventing demolition and reconstruction. The choice of the appropriate rehabilitation strategy, based on the root cause of concrete failure, can also significantly improve the overall performance of a structure. Sika has a wide portfolio of products and systems to solve many concrete repair needs.

Sika® Intraplast® NN

Intraplast® NN is an expanding grout admixture for pressure/injection grouting. By introducing into the
concrete mix, wet volume expansion and increased fluidity without segregation are produced.

Intraplast® NN is used to increase flow and cohesion in cement grouts (addition of sand is possible) and to develop non-shrink property. This product can be used for grouting of:
▪ Pre-stressed cable ducts
▪ Rock and soil anchoring
▪ Bearing plates
▪ Pre-placed aggregates
▪ Tunnel linings

Sikadur®-20 Crack Seal

Sikadur®-20 Crack Seal is a solvent-free, 2-component low viscosity and semi elastic liquid, based on epoxy
resins. It is used especially for sealing of non-structural cracks and cavities in concrete.
Fill and seal non-structural crack and cavities in structural concrete such as concrete decks, balconies, concrete roof structures, wet room, swimming pool and especially before waterproofing works.
▪ Repair floor tile joint for leakage treatment at wet
room.

Sikadur®-55 SLV IN

Sikadur®-55 SLV IN may only be used by experienced professionals.
Pressure-injection of cracks in structural concrete, masonry, wood, etc.
▪ Gravity-feed of cracks in horizontal concrete and masonry
▪ Epoxy resin binder for epoxy mortar patching and overlay of interior, horizontal surfaces
▪ Seal interior slabs and exterior above-grade slabs from water, chlorides and mild chemical attack; also improves wearability

SikaLatex® Power

SikaLatex® Power is a synthetic rubber emulsion which when added to cement slurry/ cement mortar/concrete/grout provides good adhesion and water resistance. It comes in the form of a milky liquid. It is fully soluble in water and is to be added directly to the gauging water of mortar/concrete/ cementitious
grout.

For waterproofing of roof slabs, sunken slabs, basements, water tanks, sunshades etc. in combination
with cement
▪ As a bonding agent for uses in repair and plastering
▪ For making polymer mortar for repairs mortars etc.
▪ Treatment for leaching and saltpetre action
▪ Multipurpose mortar admixture for injection grouts

SikaLatex® SBR

SikaLatex® SBR is a synthetic rubber emulsion which when added to cement slurry / cement mortar / concrete / grout provides good adhesion and water resistance. It comes in the form of a milky liquid. It is fully soluble in water and is to be added directly to the gauging water of slurry / mortar / concrete / grout.
USES
SikaLatex® SBR is a high quality emulsion that substantially increases the quality of cement slurry / cement
mortar / concrete / cementitious grout.
The scope of application are as follows:
▪ As a bonding agent for uses in repair and plastering
▪ Bonds rendering and coating layers
Bonding between successive concrete casts by incorporating SikaLatex® SBR into bonding mortar
▪ For making polymer mortar for repairs For waterproofing of roof slabs, sunken slabs, basements, retaining walls, water tanks, sunshades etc. in combination with cement
▪ Ensures high wear resistance against erosion
▪ Long life and watertight masonry jointing
Used as modifier in bonding mortar for tiles & panelling
▪ Multipurpose admixture for cementitious injection
grouting into cracks or porous concrete works
▪ Treatment for leaching and saltpetre action

Sikagard®-720 Epocem IN

Sikagard®-720 Epocem IN is a three part, epoxy modified cementitious, thixotropic, fine textured mortar for levelling and finishing of concrete, mortar or stone surfaces.
As a levelling layer over concrete and mortars in 1 – 3
mm on vertical or horizontal surfaces,
▪ Application in new works or damaged concrete repairs, in aggressive chemical environments
▪ Application over high moisture content substrates,
even green concrete
▪ As a Temporary Moisture Barrier (TMB) (min. 2 mm
thick) under Epoxy, Polyurethane and PMMA* resin
coatings requiring dry substrates, for a lasting solution.
▪ As a pore sealer for the re-profiling, smoothing and levelling of concrete surfaces
▪ In the food industry, as a levelling and smoothing layer for walls and covings, prior to the application of a
suitable Sika® epoxy or PUR finish
▪ Suitable for moisture control (Principle 2, method 2.3
of EN 1504-9)
▪ Suitable for restoration work (Principle 3, method 3.1 and 3.3 of EN 1504-9).
▪ Suitable for physical resistance (Principle 5, method 5.1 of EN 1504-9)
▪ Suitable for preserving or restoring passivity (Principle 7, method 7.1 and 7.2 of EN 1504-9)
▪ Suitable for increasing resistivity (Principle 8, method 8.3 of EN 1504-9)
